Thickness Testing of Cosmetic Packaging is very important to cosmetic quality. Whether the thickness of cosmetic packaging is identical is the premise for testing other indexes. Uneven film will not only influence the permeation and elongation strength but the following processing of film. There are several means for thickness measurement, namely contact and non-contact. Non-contact type includes ray, eddy current and ultrasonic wave. Contact type, also called mechanical thickness testing is further classified into point contact and surface contact. Now, the film thickness testing of cosmetics adopts mechanical surface testing method, which is also called the arbitration method for thickness.
