Keeping up with the steady progress in technology, the packaging industry is shifting towards the development of new packaging materials which are displacing the traditional ones.

Huntsman, manufacturers and marketers of differentiated chemicals, have announced that their TPU facility in Osnabruck, Germany, will be investing in a new product line that combines the advantages of rubber polymers with those of thermoplastics.

This is increasingly displacing more traditional materials in a variety of end-use markets.

Kobusch-Sengewald, packaging specialists, have developed a new biofilm printing process. They make use of an eight-colour flexographic printing.
