The TITE SEAL Nylon Plug is an alternative to steel plugs when storing flammable liquids. The reinforced nylon material provides a reliable seal, but when exposed to extreme heat, the plug melts to allow volatile gases to vent, greatly reducing the risk of explosion. The plugs meet the UN performance testing when installed in a drum. They are available in 2`` and ¾`` B.S.P. thread configuration.
TITE SEAL Nylon Plugs are manufactured from Nylon 6 material. This closure was designed to fit 2inch and ¾ inch plug openings in steel drums manufactured in conformance to DOT and UN requirements.The nylon plugs are natural color and are available in three different gaskets.

The plug is marked with the manufacturer’s trade mark and the FM APPROVALS mark to resemble they are FM approved. This mark is visible even when the plug is installed in the drum. |
