Prepress
Our electronic prepress department is among the most talented and experienced in the marketplace. Whether it is creating a project from an ingenious concept, imaging your final files, or any step in between, Boehmer Box can handle it all.
We use the latest software applications and technology to create distinctive and award winning cartons. Our cutting-edge, 100% digital workflow gives us the maximum amount of flexibility to meet our customers' needs.
An integral part of our electronic prepress and design departments is our full service capabilities, which can take a product sample or an idea straight through to a finished carton. Using our ArtiosCAD structural design software and Kongsberg sample table, joined with our Fuji FinalProof Dot Proofer, we are able to supply the most realistic sample on the market today. Our Creo Prinergy Powerpack workflow is linked to the ArtiosCAD, making for the most accurate Digital CTP workflow possible.
Our continuing investment in advanced prepress technologies allows us to remain ahead of our competitors in quality, productivity and efficiency. We have used CTP technology for years and continue to leverage the benefits that a digital workflow gives to our customers.
Our FTP site makes art file transfer instantaneous and secure, so that your new cartons can be manufactured and delivered with the shortest possible lead-time.
We also have the capability to scan Dot-for-Dot film for customers who are using film or don't have access to digital files.
Printing
Our equipment flexibility, including 56", 51" and 40" presses; meaning that we can efficiently handle large-scale packaging needs of our customers as well as the most demanding specialized graphic reproductions for more complex small-scale products.
Our presses are all capable of at least 6 colors and in-line aqueous coating. In-line U.V. printing and coating is also available. All inks are mixed and monitored in-house using an ink spectrophotometer to ensure 100% accuracy and to allow our customers some last minute adjustments.
Sheeting
To ensure that our printing presses are continuously supplied with printing material, Boehmer Box is equipped with two sheeters with on-line metal detectors, including a state-of-the-art sheeter installed in 2003 and equipped with the latest technology available in the marketplace. We also carry a large inventory of paperboard rolls to ensure schedule flexibility and reduced lead-time for our customers.
Die Cutting
To complement our printing operations, our die cutting department is equipped with multiple high-speed Bobst die cutters, among them, a cutting-edge 56" Bobst high-speed die cutter installed in 2003.
Finishing
We recognize that no two orders are alike. As a result, we provide an assortment of finishing services to meet the varied needs of our customers.
Our finishing department consists of multiple straight line gluers equipped with auto-packer, plus right angle gluers with 4 and 6 corner features as well as auto bottom capabilities. In addition, we have three waxers capable of two-sided pattern waxing with high-gloss finish for frozen food packaging and a windower/susceptor applicator. We can also provide embossing and foil lamination for customers seeking high-end options for their packaging needs.
All gluers are equipped with code readers, glue detectors and computerized electronic glue systems to allow us to glue and complete a range of cartons.
