Cathleen is the author of more than 200 articles published in a variety of periodicals, including the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Hotelier, Marketing Magazine and Corporate and Incentive Travel. She was awarded two scholarships by UNB Maritime Writers' School in 1997 and 1998 and has authored three books:“Going for Gold: A Complete Marketing Strategy for Professional Speakers.”, Against All Odds, and The Life of a Loyalist.
Her clients include NCH Promotional Services, Lifestyles Global Network, Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association, Transitions Consulting Group, Admerasia (a multi-ethnic ad agency) and the Packaging Association of Canada (PAC) to name a few. Her work has included copy writing, ghostwriting, editing, PR work, consulting and speaking. With a strong background in marketing and packaging, much of Cathleen’s writing has focused on this area. She has appeared on various national t.v. and radio programs. Cathleen has a Bachelor of Arts degree with an English major and has taught English at the University level through Metro Labour Council. She has completed training as a professional speaker with Speakers' Spotlight School and Dynamic Presentations Inc. She founded and is past president of the Halifax branch of The Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and now owns and operates Speakers Gold (http://www.speakersgold.com) a Toronto-based Speakers Bureau. .She publishes a popular marketing ezine for professional speakers.
