Vacuum Barrier’s new 3-D technology, directional dose dispersion and CIP function are available as options on all NITRODOSE® liquid nitrogen dosing units, individually or combined.

The 3-D technology provides an ideal pattern of dose delivery for gently resting liquid nitrogen on both hot and cold fill lightweight PET and aluminum can beverage surfaces.  The precise dose control for all package size openings provides uniform pressure in both processes and the easily adjusted dosing head allows liquid nitrogen to gently rest on top of the product to eliminate product piercing or splashing, which can occur with traditional liquid nitrogen dosing.

The enhancement of the 3-D technology to Vacuum Barrier’s extremely precise liquid nitrogen injection systems allow hot fill manufacturers to enjoy the benefits of liquid nitrogen dosing while eliminating costly vacuum panels and allowing for smooth labeling.  Cold fill manufacturers can further reduce the amount of plastic needed, but have the ability to maintain the needed package strength.  Vacuum Barrier’s advanced technology easily handles all line speeds in discrete dosing mode without sacrificing results.  Encoder coupled dosing controls enable perfect dose timing even during extreme acceleration and deceleration conditions – target pressures of +/- 1 PSI easy to achieve.

Vacuum Barrier’s CIP function prevents any moisture from entering the dosing head during high pressure water or chemical clean up with complete hands free operation.  The device ensures that anytime liquid nitrogen dosing has stopped, the automatic shutter closes.  This hands free CIP function addresses both the potential of recontamination after clean up and the vulnerability of the cold surfaces around the nozzle to become frozen.

For 51 years Vacuum Barrier has designed, manufactured and fabricated liquid nitrogen handling equipment to a variety of industries.  The highly skilled team of engineers has a combined 175 years of experience with Vacuum Barrier.  For more information on how they can assist you with your liquid nitrogen handling needs please visit their Web site at www.vacuumbarrier.com, or contact them directly at 781-933-3570, or by email at sales@vacuumbarrier.com.
