Synopsis

Counterfeit drugs are a big problem and getting bigger. An FDA Task Force is looking at ways to stop it, and packaging techniques such as unit-of-use and tamper-evident packaging are among the options. Also part of the analysis is the drug distribution system, since vulnerable points in that system give counterfeiters their opportunities. Ever more-sophisticated techniques will be needed to keep one step ahead of the counterfeiters.
